Week 7
Hello, everybody!
This week is about autonomy and about one computer classroom.
What can we say about the autonomy of students?
The autonomy of students can be used in five ways: 1) we should give situations in which learners study entirely on their own; 2) we should identify a set of skills which can be learned and applied in self-directed learning; 3) we should pay close attention to an inborn capacity of students; 4) we should exercise learners' responsibility for their own learning; 5) we should give learners the right to determine the direction of their own learning.
If we want our learners to be autonomous we should use cognitive strategies, meta-cognitive strategies, raise self-esteem of students.
What about one computer classroom ?
We were given a lot of strategies to use in one computer classroom. They are the following:
1.Use the computer as a teacher’s tool;
2.Use the computer as a multi-media chalk board or flip chart;
3.Students use the computer as a tool for individual work and as part of a larger group or class project;
4.Use the computer as learning center or station
5.Use the computer as cooperative learning tool
6.Students use the computer to do individual work for practice or assessment
They will help me in my teaching.
I like 25 ways to integrate the internet. They are very useful and efficient to involve our students in their autonomous learning, to motivate them, and to have results we want to have.
Creating a Computer Lab/Learning Center is an excellent idea for teaching English with technology.
Have a good weekend!

Week 6
Hi, everyone! I am glad to be with you again!
The week is very fruitful for me! The video about power point presentations are useful for me.I learn using hyperlinks.Power point presentations are available classroom technologies to teach. One of the main advantages of PPP, I think, is that we can use it in large classes. The graphic presentation is a visually-based, behavior-oriented teaching strategy that is good for learners of all ages.Our learners have self-paced instructions for students who learn best when they are instructed at their own pace. It offers logical, systematic, specific lessons.Students are initiative, they can control their learning and so they are responsible for their mastering the material presented by students themselves.I am learning the most effective usage of video in PPP. I admire the information about PPP I open at the period. The possibilities of design and comfort during preparation and submitting PPP is great.
The inataractivity takes place in large classes, the students are involved, they are active,responsible for their learning and there are no problems for involving, motivating students,for teaching large classes.
There are a lot of productive, effective, important activities that make learning process modern in large classes.
Priming, integrating, reinforcing, generating and facilitaiting engaging and effective online disccussions, using blackboard for assessment are the best way to improve in-class discussions.
I am working on my project.My students and me are surfing the Net with the sites we want to search. We are doing the WebQuest. They post me e-mails about their thoughts, ask me questions connected with the theme of the WebQuest.
They practice thier language skills on the theme.They are working with enthusiasm because they are interested in the theme.They are learning at their own pace. But they know the objectives and the goal of the project they are doing. I think that I prepare PPP " Jeapardy" for practicing their language skills. For my students' evaluation I prepared rubrics where I included criteria of the language skills they 'll have at the end of the project work, of project work itself.
Have a good time!

Week 5
Hi, everyone!
I have searched a lot of information about Project-Based Learning and I am perfectly satisfied the information suggested.
Project-based learning is a component of an inquiry-based approach to learning. In this approach, students create knowledge and understanding through learning activities built around intellectual inquiry and a high degree of engagement with meaningful tasks.
I think and agree with the authors of the sites that projects take the role traditionally afforded to assessments such as tests and quizzes. With the help of projects I can provide the demonstration of my students acquired knowledge in their individual or self way taking into consideration the variety of my student different learning styles and students will be successful in it.
I will involve 4 basic elements: 1) an extended time frame; 2) collaboration; 3) inquiry, investigation, and research; 4) the performance or submitting the project in my project-based learning activity.
So I think that project-based learning is a powerful tool in my repertoire of strategies. And it is very important for me to use the strategy at the right time and for the right reasons.
I should know the instructional needs, to ensure that content of the PBL is adequately addressed, to think if there is enough time, if the necessary resources available, If all students can be supported to produce high-quality work and so I encourage my students to become more autonomous learners
As rubrics I like them very much.
It is an excellent tool to assess the performances of my students.
At the lesson before they begin to do tasks students and me can discuss the tasks and criteria of the tasks. Students can see the gradations of quality (levels) for each dimension of the lesson and they know what dimensions are evaluated by them, by the teacher, by students.
So I am sure that with the help of rubrics the student expectations are clear, they know what to do to be successful.
They are able to evaluate the quality of their own work.
The usage of rubrics at every lesson is of great value.
With the help of alternative assessment students and the teacher know what needs to be done to successfully complete the class. It enables students to take responsibility for and self-direct some of their own learning. And learners have the chance to directly display their progress to their family members and others in their school and community.
Have a good time!

Hi, everybody!
I like our discussion very much. There are a lot of ideas about lesson planning.
Viorica’s lesson planning is based on the web materials we discussed.
I liked her usage of Voki in planning. I thought how to use Voki better. Her activity to end the story with voki avatars is an effective usage of the web tool at the lesson. Students think creatively.
There are a lot of different technologies at the lesson.
Thank you, Viorica and everybody for a lot of links you share with us.
These links below are excellent to use them at the lessons on all themes. Students can listen to native speakers they can write what they hear and read essays of their classmates. And as a result of their activities students can speak about them, analyze the material, discuss advantages and disadvantages, to suggests their resolutions and write their reflections on their pages, write e-mails to each other.

Week4
Hi, everyone!
My fruitful work makes me happy! Reading, writing, vocabulary are very interesting important themes for learning and important skills to know English.
I like our discussion very much!
A lot of new, useful links, and a lot of activities to practice reading, writing,vocabulary skills! I searched a lot of them, use some of links for practicing reading, vocabulary skills at my lessons and there are a lot of them to search and to learn, to analyze when to use them, with what level of students, what is better to use.
