Week 6
Hi, everyone! I am glad to be with you again!
The week is very fruitful for me! The video about power point presentations are useful for me.I learn using hyperlinks.Power point presentations are available classroom technologies to teach. One of the main advantages of PPP, I think, is that we can use it in large classes. The graphic presentation is a visually-based, behavior-oriented teaching strategy that is good for learners of all ages. Our learners have self-paced instructions for students who learn best when they are instructed at their own pace. It offers logical, systematic, specific lessons.Students are initiative, they can control their learning and so they are responsible for their mastering the material presented by students themselves.I am learning the most effective usage of video in PPP. I admire the information about PPP I open at the period. The possibilities of design and comfort during preparation and submitting PPP is great.
The inataractivity takes place in large classes, the students are involved, they are active, responsible for their learning and there are no problems for involving, motivating students, for teaching large classes.
There are a lot of productive, effective, important activities that make learning process modern in large classes.
Priming, integrating, reinforcing, generating and facilitaiting engaging and effective online disccussions, using blackboard for assessment are the best way to improve in-class discussions.
I am working on my project. My students and me are surfing the Net with the sites we want to search. We are doing the WebQuest. They post me e-mails about their thoughts, ask me questions connected with the theme of the WebQuest.
They practice thier language skills on the theme. They are working with enthusiasm because they are interested in the theme. They are learning at their own pace. But they know the objectives and the goal of the project they are doing. I think that I prepare PPP " Jeapardy" for practicing their language skills. For my students' evaluation I prepared rubrics where I included criteria of the language skills they 'll have at the end of the project work, of project work itself.
Have a good time!
Hi Svetlana!
ReplyDeleteI liked the fact that you presented the ways interactivity is implemented in a classroom (especially a large one!!). I guess you are a very organized person and you have made your student swork the way you do. I believe you have a great time together exploring the different sites and working on the project! Keep it up!
Thank you,Georgia!
ReplyDeleteI think the activities suggested for large classes are excellent activities for small groups too. They also like working in pairs,in groups. In small groups I have time to check everyone's step of their learning process, to control students' working,to give individual instructions,to do a lot to make student's learning process better.
Have a good time!
Hello Svetlana!
DeleteI fully agree with you that PPP is a nice teaching tool that helps to make lessons interactive and engage students into active learning. PPP offers great possibilities both for teaching large classes and small ones. On watching our groupmates presentations I've understood how much I've missed and not used. Frankly speaking, I mostly use presentations for lectures but mostly they were not interactive. And I do not use them for lessons on Practical English. Of course, I assign the task for my students to prepare a presentation as a part of the project, but never used this tool to present grammar or vocabulary. I think that next academic year I will do my best to use PPP more in my classroom.
Best wishes
Victoria
